Life Facts: Born and raised in Currumbin, Australia, Luke Munro developed his skills on his favorite home spot wave, Currumbin Alley. Luke has two younger brothers and sisters. He qualified for the 2007 ASP World Championship Tour after finishing 18th on the ASP WQS Tour. Luke Munro has starred in surfing movies "Young Guns 1" and "Young Guns 2."
Successes: Some of Luke Munro's past successes include winning the Quiksilver Pro Africa in Durban in 2007. A 1st Place finish at Sri Lankan Airlines Pro presented by Oakley Pasta at Point, Maldives in 2006. Luke also tasted success early in his surfing career winning the 2000 World Junior's title.
Surfing Style: Luke surfs in a regular stance. With speed and effortless maneuvering style, Luke has developed one of the most polished and powerful styles around. Luke Munro's favorite move is the Forehand Condor Swoop. His use of speed and fluid maneuvers will make him a force to be reckoned with on tour.
