NATHANIEL CURRAN
Nathaniel Curran started surfing when he was 5 years old, turned pro surfer when he was 18, and goes by the nickname Sayo. We do not know what Sayo means, but we do know he is the new champion of the 2008 Men's Honda U.S. Open of Surfing. Life Facts: Pro surfer Nathaniel Curran has been surfing since the age of 5, and turned professional at age 18. Living every guys dream, Nathaniel opted to pass on college (for now) and continue his goal of becoming a top professional surfer. In fact, his senior year of high school he toured the globe surfing in the ASP WQS as a top ranked qualifying surfer. Today, Nathaniel is the #1 ranked ASP WQS surfer and is destined to be in the championship series (WCS).
Successes: Nathaniel Curran has won the Men's Honda U.S. Open of Surfing presented by O'Neill title which has moved him to #1 in the ASP WQS standings. Curran's best results in the 2007-08 surf season were semifinals at the O'Neill SI Pro at Sebastian Inlet, Florida, and the Billabong Surf ECO Festival in Brazil, both ASP WQS five-star surfing events.
